2s almost spark comeback as they exit the Scottish Amatuer Cup

The Uni 2s faced Pittenweem Rovers at home in the Second Round of the Scottish Amateur Cup. After a slow start the uni boys found themselves 3-0 down within the first 12 minutes after a couple of excellent finishes and some sloppy defending. The 2s responded well, however, pulling one back shortly from a Callum Boath header from a whipped corner. They continued to look for a second goal with some lovely passing football but could not convert leaving them 3-1 down at half time. The second half was more of the same with some great football being played by the uni, resulting in a Conor Watt goal making the score 3-2 Pittenweem. After plenty of chances the 2s didn’t manage to get the equaliser and the game ended 3-2 to the away side after the Uni left too much of a mountain to climb from their slow start.
